Just a little proof in case you thought I murdered Chuck.
Apparently, I still haven't made my way all the way into the trenches. I'm still sliding down the side. Yesterday I made a token attempt at the laundry and then abandoned it shamelessly.
Instead, I started the bread and had a good workout on the treadmill while watching All Creatures Great and Small, followed by a long, cleansing shower. No laundry. I returned books to the library and inquired as to why things suddenly disappeared off my request list. I went shopping at Costco. Then to Ulta and bought nail polish in green, blue and pinky-purple. I met Missy for lunch at Panera. Together after lunch we went to Bath & Body Works where I was disappointed and bought nothing. We tried Victoria's Secret and they had the scented lotion I wanted for 75% off. Not a bad deal at all! I got a few bottles of it as it was being discontinued and I really like this particular scent.
Horrible me didn't stop there. Missy went back to work and I went to Barnes & Noble enjoyed a raspberry mocha and bought the book Knitting Vintage Socks. I can completely justify this purchase because the whole reason I wanted to learn to knit is so that I could knit old-fashioned stockings. I picked up the final pieces I needed for a Mardis Gras party I'm going to towards the end of the month and I stopped shopping. Good thing I rarely shop like this!
One would think that when I returned back home that I would get right into my chores but no, not naughty me. I put the groceries away, played with the dogs and made the mistake of getting on Ravelry. Ooops. Forgot about the laundry again. The next thing I knew it was time to pick up Maia from school. We had Macey over to play before dinner. Dinner required no effort on my part--I served leftover raviolis. Sometimes I love leftover days.
Tristyn disappeared to play with Legos, Rick to read a book and Maia and I played horses in her toy stable. We read some CrinkleRoot books and worked on her puzzle. I painted her toenails green with our mutual new nailpolish and did mine in blue. Then I baked spawn of Chuck and delivered one to Cathy while the kids bathed/showered. Storytime and tuck-ins. Still no laundry.
Rick and I caught up on last week's Big Love and the past two weeks' 24 while I knitted. And never once did I spare a thought for that darn laundry. I went to bed quite happily and slept well until I woke up with a start trying to remember if that token load of laundry contained day clothes for Tristyn for him to wear today. Otherwise, I've said it before and I'll say it again.....Guess I better quit blogging and start washing and drying and folding!
