Don't let this white-iced raspberry topped cake fool you--it really was a mess!!
See what I mean? Even us-aspiring-to-be-great-one-day-but-are-just-a-notch-above-mediocre-right- now have disasters. I'm going to attempt to push the blame on the book I got the recipe for this particular 7-minute icing from though I don't know how much that will work. It said "Use immediately." I think immediately was too soon as it was still quite warm and slipped and slid all the place. I could barely keep one layer on top of another! It became a race to see who would win first: Me wielding my icing covered spatula or the Cake with it's tricky sliding technique.
I won.
And for spite, I filled the cake with a strawberry raspberry filling. Nothing like rubbing in one's victory.
