Yesterday afternoon was spent at Frick Park playing at the Blue Slide Playground. I didn't take many pictures from the actual playground part because I didn't want the other parents worried that I was taking pictures of THEIR children. People are so touchy about that.
Not that I blame them, of course. But it does rather put limits on what I can take pictures of. At this particular park, there is a slide that is built into the hillside (not the one pictured above) and children of all sizes--and some adults too!-- use scraps of cardboard to fly down the slide. It's Maia's favorite playground and I really wanted to take some photos of her coming down it but there were too many children around.
Tristyn was interested in the little pods hanging from this tree.
Of course, that meant Maia was too. We brought some home for our science table.
Tristyn and Maia head for the hills.......because....
....who can resist?
