See what I can do?
Not only do I remember which one is a phillips-head screwdriver and what a crescent wrench looks like, I can jump a car too. All on my own.
Which is probably a good thing, since it was my fault that Rick's car (the Element) needed a jump. On the way home from Daisy Scouts Maia asked for the interior light to be turned on so she could finish eating the lunch-dinner Rick had packed for (because we went directly from the movie to the library with only 2 mins in between to pick Missy up from our house). I, of course, forgot to turn the light off. We got in the car the next morning (yesterday) to find that the car didn't even have enough juice to be opened with the keyless entry thing-a-ma-jig.
Sigh. Anyways, if you are bored or if my blog was on the end of your list of daily blogs to read, you can amuse yourself by looking closely at the picture. Just past my neighbors house you can see a wee bit of our fence. Pretty exciting, huh? That's my maple tree too--the one I love but hate because it blocks the precious sun from reaching the grass.
Rick and I had the Pittsburgh Executive Association (PEA) Christmas party last night. They held it at restaurant called Peter's Place in Bridgeville.
I totally 'stole' that picture off of their website because I couldn't get one that looked good. We didn't order from a menu; a buffet (banquet? what's the difference?)was provided but it was rather good considering most buffet meals tend to be rather bland and only so-so.
The PEA also held their annual Steal it Grab Bag. Or Pirate's Christmas. I've heard it called a half dozen things last night. Basically every female brought a female gift and the males brought a male gift for a price of about $15 and made sure to wrap it up. When your turn came you could either pick a gift from the gender appropriate table OR you could steal someone else's gift that was already unwrapped. A gift was considered 'dead' and not steal-able after 3 steals. Everyone had a lot of fun but probably one man, Jeff. His gift ended up being what I'm pretty sure the original gifter thought was men's cologne. B---u---t it was actually ladies' perfume! It was Ralph by Ralph Lauren. I felt bad for him but guess what??!!
Jeff's ticket was pulled during the raffle and he won a 2 night trip to a Lakeview Resort! I think that more than makes up for his girly perfume. =)
So long as he likes golf. However, if he doesn't....I hear Lakeview Resort has a wonderful spa!
