Maybe this picture will help get things started! It was taken the last winter we spent at the rented house before we moved to our new home in the spring, so it's nearly 3 years old but hey it's snowy and I needed a picture. I'd really like a White Christmas this year.
Yesterday came early...the type of early where you wake up 5 minutes BEFORE your alarm goes off. In my case this was 5:55 a.m. I staggered downstairs to make some herbal tea & toast. <---I'm not very original, I can eat this nearly everyday for breakfast. Then, I spent some time updating my blog and catching up on a few of my favorites. It was hard but I didn't let myself linger and got two loads of laundry folded and put away, and the bathrooms straightened up all before it was time to get the kids up for school.
Work was typical. Phone, mail, etc. Rick and I had lunch together which was nice but far too short. Quite easily, I could have spent another half hour sitting and talking with him. =) Home was a bit hectic what with dinner making (beef stew), treadmill-ing (is that a word?), and errand running. Still, even with all of this, I felt a bit more 'in control' of home life than I have been lately which is good. Very good.
This week is shaping up to be fairly busy (and I like busy!). Tonight I have our Parent's Meeting for our potential new Daisy Scouts. Tomorrow is the PEA Christmas party. Thursday we might be lucky to have guests for dinner if they don't have other more pressing things they need to do. Friday--well Friday begins the mad rush to do and/or complete that last bit of shopping, cleaning, and cookie baking.
I still haven't decided what type of cookies are going to make the holiday cut this year. =S
