the
cleaning madness started on a thursday and ended on saturday
(mostly--still have the kitchen window and the front porch). everything
looks and smells fresh and clean =D regular maintenence resumes
until...the autumn.
it's
been 1 week since we've planted the grass seed. i expect to see little
shoots of grass emerging any day now as they usually begin to appear in
the 7-10 day range. maia and i have been taking the dogs up to the
field every morning (during the week) and rick and i twice a day on the
weekends. i'm thinking by the time the grass comes in and the dogs are
allowed in it they will be too accustomed to their morning run in the
field and it will have to be a regular thing. this in itself isn't a
problem..but it will be interesting in the summer when by fact of
summer vacation tristyn will have no choice but to come along too. he
will hate it because as he says 'i'm not made for nature. i hate
nature!'
rick and i went to roland's seafood grill in the strip saturday evening.
sunday was a lazy day. i made these in the morning to take to 's house:

spent
a good portion of the day trying to decipher a few new games. once i
got the hang of the chez geek game it was amusing me but then it was
time to learn a new one. just started to get the feel of that one and
then got my ass kicked and lost that one too. then tried the game of
all games...which was horribly confusing but i *think* would be lots of
fun if i understood more than 10%. have to try again some other time.

rick took
me out to dinner right afterwards where i proceeded to eat large
amounts of food. then we headed home, but i jumped in the car and went
back down to the waterfront. killed some time at b&n, talked to C,
and then met jon at the movie theatre because he wanted someone to see
300 with him. i felt bad he hadn't found anyone else to see it with
him, so i didn't bother to tell him that i had already seen it. i
enjoyed it almost as much as the first time :)
with luck, rick remembered to dvr that new show 'the tudors' on showtime last night!! i really want to see it!
