Rick & I just spent a lovely week on the West Coast. After we had our fill of the hills of San Francisco (who really ever has their fill of of SF?), we rented a car and drove up the coast. We stopped at many beaches and small towns from San Francisco to Seattle--a few larger towns too, like Portland.
There was hiking, lots of hiking in forests, along beaches and of course in some of the redwood forests. We visited Confusion Hill which is a silly but fun 'attraction' in the middle of one of the redwood forests where everything is all catawampus and balls roll uphill all on their own. Mt. St. Helens made our to-do list and so did Mt. Rainier. The former we just looked at but the latter we toured entirely around it, stopping several times to get out and do lots of hiking.
I have plenty of other pictures to share that are from the real camera and not my cell camera but somehow the USB cable has gone missing. Isn't that always the case? But I wanted to post something so that my 40 readers (maybe fewer now after my long absence!) knew that I was still alive as I have gotten a few emails asking if everything was okay.
