Oh, How I love pink and brown together. It's one of my favorite color combinations. Of course, when I found strawberry marshmallows and chocolate marshmallows I just had to do this:
You can do it too:
Get out two large sauce pots. Put 4 tablespoons of butter--say it with me, people, BUTTER, NOT MARGARINE-- in each pot. Place on stove over medium heat.
Meanwhile, while butter is melting, spray two 8 by 8 pans (or one 8 by 8 and one 9 by 9 like I did) with spray oil. In two separate bowls measure 6 cups of rice krispies. Hurry back to pots on stove--the butter should be melted.
In one pot, pour in a bag of strawberry marshmallows; into the other one pour in the chocolate ones. Using wooden spoons (and mediocre coordination, stir each pot. When the chocolate ones are nearly melted, take a regular teaspoon and measure in a heaping spoonful of cocoa onto your chocolate goop. Trust me, if you don't, not only will your goop be weird colored it won't be chocolate-y enough.
When marshmallows are all melted, turn off heat and mix 6 cups of rice krispies into each pot. (Sorry if I'm boring anyone, this recipe is pretty similar to the one on the box) Let cool slightly while licking off the spoons. Press mixtures into pans, alternating pink-brown-pink and/or brown-pink-brown. Cut when cool and firm.
I preferred the strawberry-chocolate-strawberry ones.
